Queensland Beach Challenge
The Keep Australia Beautiful Queensland Beach Challenge1 is an exciting event and a great way for the Gold Coast community to play an active role in contributing to the condition of local beaches and foreshores.
Some ideas on how to get involved include:
- Get together with friends/family and adopt a beach
- Involve your local school
- Host a beach clean up, followed by a sausage sizzle
- Get your hands dirty with a dune planting/weeding session
- Encourage local business support - donating refreshments or prizes for Queensland Beach Challenge events
Pass winners of Clean Beach Challenge Awards include:
- 2008 A.B. Paterson College (Harley Park Project2) and Tallebudgera Beach School
