International BeachCare Program
The Centre offers a range of activities in BeachCare and Coastal Education for corporate events, international students, and tour groups who wish to participate in a community orientated activity which can include dune plantings or coastal information presentations.

All activities are undertaken at Federation Walk Coastal Reserve, which is a 93 hectacre coastal dune system on the eastern side of Seaworld Drive, The Spit, Gold Coast. The reserve extends from Philip Park car park (opposite Sea World) to the southern wall of the Gold Coast Seaway. Friends of Federation Walk is a community group whose main objective is to maintain the Federation Walk Coastal Reserve as a natural public open space for the benefit of the community. Federation Walk has a proven history in catering for groups of varying size and needs. Groups, schools, businesses and international travellers have all previously assisted Friends of Federation Walk in preserving this area. Activities can be tailored to suit the groups' needs and can include planting, mulching and weeding to name but a few examples. Please see the attached flyer1 (PDF 108.7kb) for more information on the activities offered and the costs involved.
The aim is to make this an enjoyable experience for all. The project is based on teamwork and is promoted as a social outing rather than work. All works are undertaken in accordance with Gold Coast City Council's Dune Management Policy.
This is a not for profit program with all monies collected from the program going towards the cost of staff, plants and equipment required for the activities. We have public liability insurance and staff have blue cards for working with children.
